Treacle, Almond, Raspberry

A washed Peruvian from high altitude farms near the Ecuadorian border. Sweet, smooth, and balanced with notes of treacle, almond, and raspberry. The kind of coffee that just works, every time — reliably delicious however you brew it.

About the Producer

Grown by a collective of small independent farmers in northern Peru, working alongside Caravela Coffee. Over the years they have raised the bar at every step — from how the cherries are picked to how they are dried slowly in the sun. Quiet, careful work that shows up in the cup.

About the Roaster — Carnival Coffee Roasters, South East London

Jayne and Juan founded Carnival Coffee in South East London after a life-changing cup in Chiapas, Mexico. Juan comes from a coffee-producing family in Medellin, Colombia. They source and roast beautiful speciality coffees with loads of flavour, always respecting the farmers behind the beans. For them, coffee is about joy, community and sharing something they truly love.

More About El Guayacan

Washed (or wet) process coffee is made by removing the fruit from the coffee cherry before the beans are dried.

After harvesting, the cherries are pulped, fermented in water to remove any remaining fruit, then washed and dried. This method produces a cleaner, brighter cup that highlights the coffee’s natural characteristics.

What to expect in the cup:
Crisp acidity, clear flavours, and often citrus or floral notes.

In short:
Clean, bright, and balanced coffee with great clarity.
