Macatia and Coffee, a popular specialist coffee house in Herne Hill, is looking for an experienced Senior Barista to join our team.

This is a hands-on role for a passionate coffee professional with excellent barista, customer service, and communication skills, a strong knowledge of coffee and alternative drinks, and experience supporting and leading a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional drink and food quality standards
• Train and support baristas to deliver excellent service
• Lead daily operations, stock management, and equipment maintenance
• Contribute to new drink development and seasonal menu updates
• Lead by example and support senior management with team supervision

Who We're Looking For

• 3+ years' barista experience and advanced coffee skills including espresso dial-in, cupping, milk texturing, batch brewing, cold brewing, and recipe development
• Strong knowledge of coffee alternatives, matcha, chai, iced teas, and seasonal drinks
• Previous Senior Barista and/or supervisory experience
• A strong communicator and leader with developed organisational skills
• Available during weekends as well as through the week
