Grown at 1850m in Huila, Colombia one of the country's most celebrated coffee regions. This lot showcases the Chiroso variety, known for its vibrant character and expressive clarity. Processed using a clean washed method, which lets the quality of the bean and the altitude do the talking. Expect bright rosehip, delicate elderflower florals, and a soft lingering sweetness of panela.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Fernando and Alejandra Garcia have built something quietly remarkable in Huila. Fernando is a social activist whose work has supported local communities opposing dam projects that threatened their land and livelihoods. On the farm, he and Alejandra have developed a resilient model built around crop diversification growing fruit alongside coffee to strengthen the farm's long-term stability. It's a thoughtful, considered approach that reflects both a deep care for their land and a commitment to the people around them.
ABOUT THE ROASTER
We work with Elsewhere, a small team based in Deptford, South East London. Great coffee was never optional for us. It had to be right, and Elsewhere just clicked. They have been a big part of our journey over the past 18 months, and we have built a strong relationship with them. They source vibrant coffees and roast them to be balanced, approachable and full of flavour. Using quality beans, roasted by people who genuinely care about the journey from farm to cup, is at the heart of what we do.
More About Sunbeam
Washed (or wet) process coffee is made by removing the fruit from the coffee cherry before the beans are dried.
After harvesting, the cherries are pulped, fermented in water to remove any remaining fruit, then washed and dried. This method produces a cleaner, brighter cup that highlights the coffee’s natural characteristics.
